Woman Found Dead in Sheung Wan Home in Suspected Suicide

On October 17, 2024, at approximately 6 PM, authorities were alerted to a missing person case involving a 36-year-old woman, surnamed Lam, who had failed to show up for work. Concerned for her well-being, a colleague reported her absence and inability to be contacted, prompting a search at her residence located at Tung Fai Gardens, 17 Po Yan Street in Tai Ping Shan.

Upon arrival, firefighters gained entry to the apartment, where they discovered Ms. Lam unresponsive in a room. A burnt charcoal stove was found nearby, and emergency services confirmed that she had already passed away. Authorities also located a note at the scene, suggesting that the incident may be linked to personal struggles the victim was facing.
