Woman arrested at Hong Kong airport for hiding $14 million worth of heroin in luggage

A significant amount of heroin was intercepted by Hong Kong Customs at Hong Kong International Airport on December 26th. The confiscated drugs weighed approximately 18 kilograms and are valued at around HK$14 million in the market.

During a routine customs inspection, a female traveler, aged 56, who had arrived from Bangkok, was found to be carrying the illegal substance. The heroin was cleverly hidden inside six food packaging boxes within her checked luggage. As a result, the woman was immediately arrested.


The detained individual is now facing serious legal consequences and has been charged with one count of trafficking a dangerous drug. She is scheduled to appear before the West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts on December 28th.

被拘留者現在面臨嚴重的法律後果,被控以一項販運危險藥品的罪名。她將於12月28日出庭受審,在西九龍裁判法院出席。
