Lunar New Year fairs throughout the city are scheduled to open this Thursday, kicking off celebrations for the Year of the Snake. The Victoria Park fair, the largest in the area, will see special traffic arrangements enforced by the police in the Causeway Bay and Tin Hau districts.

Starting tomorrow at 4 PM, certain streets will become pedestrian zones, including Lockhart Road between Cannon Street and East Point Road, East Point Road itself, and Great George Street between East Point Road and Paterson Street. These zones will remain in effect until midnight, and from Friday to the following Monday, daily from noon to 3 AM.

Road closures may also occur on several streets, including Paterson Street, Great George Street, Sugar Street, Cleveland Street, Kingston Street, and sections of Gloucester Road.

Additionally, metered parking on Lau Li Street will be suspended on January 23 from 8 AM to 12:01 AM the next day, and from January 24 to 27, daily from 8 AM to 3 AM the following day.

The public is encouraged to utilize public transport when visiting the area and to follow police instructions for a smooth experience.
