1.4kg of suspected cocaine were found hidden in the travelers bodies, worth HK$1.4 million
Kong customs have arrested two different visitors who flew into Hong Kong for allegedly hiding 1.4kg in total of suspected cocaine worth HK$1.4 million in their bodies on Saturday.
Customs said the two men were being suspicious and stopped during customs check on Saturday.
The Customs and Excise Department said on Sunday that 100 pellets of suspected cocaine were seized, weighing 1.4kg discharged from the two men.
The first suspect was a 36-year-old male passenger, who flew from Montego Bay, Jamaica to Hong Kong and allegedly had 55 pellets of suspected cocaine that weighed around 800g in his body.
The second one was a 37-year-old male passenger arriving from Entebbe in Uganda via Doha in Qatar on Saturday who allegedly discharged 48 pellets of suspected cocaine weighing about 600g, it was reported.
Customs said both men looked suspicious while passing through customs on Saturday.
They were thereafter escorted to a hospital to be examined where it was confirmed that they were having something hidden inside them but actual parts were not mentioned by the customs.
Both men were arrested and investigations were ongoing.
Trafficking in dangerous drugs in Hong Kong is punishable by up to life in jail and a HK$5 million fine.

第一名嫌犯是一名36歲男乘客,從牙買加蒙特哥灣飛往香港,據稱體內藏有55粒疑似可卡因,重約800公克。
據報道,第二名乘客是一名37歲的男性乘客,週六從烏幹達恩德培經卡達多哈抵達,據稱他排出了48粒疑似可卡因,重約600克。
海關稱,兩名男子週六通過海關時看起來很可疑。
隨後,他們被護送到醫院接受檢查,結果證實他們體內藏有東西,但海關沒有提及實際的零件。
兩人均已被捕,調查正在進行中。
在香港販運危險藥物最高可判處終身監禁和 500 萬港元罰款。
