On January 14, 2025, the MTR Corporation announced disruptions to the Airport Express and Tung Chung Line services following an incident involving a person on the tracks. This occurred around 2:15 PM, specifically between Tsing Yi Station and Sunny Bay Station.
As a result of the incident, trains on the Airport Express between Tsing Yi Station and Airport Station, as well as Tung Chung Line trains between Tsing Yi Station and Sunny Bay Station, are now operating at reduced speeds. Passengers should expect an extended journey time of approximately 20 to 25 minutes on the Airport Express between Hong Kong Station and AsiaWorld-Expo Station, and similarly on the Tung Chung Line between Hong Kong Station and Tung Chung Station.
Additionally, the In-town Check-in service's closing time has been extended from 90 minutes to 120 minutes to accommodate the delays.
