HONG KONG - Yesterday, a train on the Tseung Kwan O Line departed from Po Lam Station, failed to stop at Hang Hau Station, and continued to run at full speed.
The MTR Corporation confirmed this morning. According to MTR, the incident occurred at around 6:37 pm yesterday. The staff noticed this and immediately activated the emergency brake to stop the train. However, since the train had left the platform area, the control center decided to let the train continue to Tseung Kwan O Station to let passengers off. Approximately 200 passengers were affected during this period.
The MTR Corporation said that the incident occurred at around 6:37 pm yesterday when a train bound for North Point on the Tseung Kwan O Line failed to stop at Platform 2 of Hang Hau Station. After discovering the situation, the staff immediately initiated emergency braking and notified the operation control center.
After the train stopped, it had completely left the platform area. After ensuring safety, the control center decided to let the train continue to Tseung Kwan O Station to let passengers off. The MTR Corporation sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused to the approximately 200 affected passengers.
The same Tseung Kwan O Line suffered partial flooding near Quarry Bay station yesterday, resulting in the temporary suspension of services on the cross-harbour section. The MTR Corporation clarified that based on preliminary investigation, the incident had nothing to do with flooding near Quarry Bay Station, nor did it involve any system safety issues. MTR will continue to investigate the incident to ensure the safety and reliability of its services.

昨天，將軍澳線一列列車從寶琳站出發，未能在坑口站停靠，繼續全速運轉。
