MTR Corporation temporarily suspended the train services between Mong Kok East Station and Tai Wai Station on Friday afternoon because someone was on the train track at Kowloon Tong Station. The announcement was made at 12.08 pm.
The man who was reported to be over 50 years of age fell from the train platform at Kowloon Tong station. The emergency services arrived and took him out where he was being laid under the train with his face in blood.
He was taken to the hospital and later declared dead.
The line went through disruptions due to the incident but full services gradually returned after an hour.
