HONG KONG - In a shocking incident at Shing Mun Country Park in Hong Kong, a woman was bitten by a monkey and injured her arm. The incident occurred at about 5 pm yesterday (26th) when the woman and 12 friends were hiking from Pineapple Dam to the main dam of Shing Mun Reservoir in a picturesque park.
It was during this trip that an unfortunate encounter with the primate led the woman to immediately seek help and report the incident to the authorities.
After receiving the distress signal, emergency personnel rushed to the scene and rescued the injured woman. They carefully treated her wounds before taking her to Yan Chai Hospital for further treatment.
Remarkably, the woman remained conscious throughout the entire ordeal. The circumstances leading up to the monkey bite are currently under investigation and authorities are working to determine the root cause.
