According to a recent report from The SUN HK, the police have officially confirmed the arrest of a man in connection with an assault captured in a viral video. The incident took place at WorldWide Plaza in Central, Hong Kong, on Sunday, April 7.
The arrest was made after a 40-year-old Filipina woman filed a complaint regarding the alleged assault. The victim, shown in the video with blood dripping down her face and her clothes stained with blood, was taken to Queen Mary Hospital for treatment. She suffered injuries to her eye as a result of being punched in the face during an argument with the assailant.
At present, there is no information regarding the specific cause of the argument between the two individuals. Furthermore, there is no record of the suspect being formally charged following his arrest.
The video, which went viral, shows the victim checking her injuries using her phone. It also captures the alleged assailant, a man wearing a black shirt, casually checking his phone while accompanied by a Chinese woman.
