Her mother subsequently married the defendant in Hong Kong, and they all lived together in the Pat Heung area of the New Territories. The incident in question occurred when the victim asked the defendant for HK$300 to go out with her classmates. The defendant agreed to give her the money only if she agreed to engage in sexual acts with him. Reluctantly, the victim went to his room and engaged in sexual intercourse with him for several minutes. Afterward, the defendant gave her the requested sum. The victim reported the incident to her school teacher and a social worker on the 16th of that month, leading to the involvement of the authorities and subsequent arrest of the defendant.
