Yesterday, a cold front swept through Guangdong province, strengthening northerly winds in Hong Kong and lowering temperatures about 10 degrees compared to two days prior. Patchy morning rain gave way to sunny intervals. Coastal Guangdong may see cloudier weather in the coming days.
Sunday’s forecast predicts mainly cloudy skies with light morning rain possible. Lows will be near 12 degrees in cities and colder in the New Territories. Occasional sunny breaks are expected throughout the day, with highs reaching 16 degrees. Fresh north/northeasterly winds and gusty high winds will be present.
Monday morning will be cool, then sunny on Tuesday. Following days remain fine and dry but cold in the mornings. Guangdong coasts may see clouds. A dry winter monsoon replenishment is due midweek next week over southern China, maintaining dryness along southern Chinese coasts but continued morning/nighttime coolness. Low pressure east of the Philippines may bring unstable weather to the region in the coming days as well.
