Hong Kong - A murder occurred in Chai Kek Village, Tai Po last Saturday (9th). A 62-year-old man was found suffocated to death on his quilt. His 52-year-old wife was arrested on suspicion of the crime. The reporter was the nephew of the deceased who was looking for his uncle in the village house. But the aunt refused to open the door, which aroused suspicion. Worried, he sought help and reported the crime, eventually uncovering the tragic murder.

At around 1 pm today (11th), the police returned to Chai Kek Village to re-examine the crime scene. The village house involved remains under lockdown and a large number of investigators are on hand to reconstruct the case. Detectives were seen using white cardboard props to simulate the bedding involved in the incident. At 1:05 p.m., a white seven-seat Honda arrived carrying the suspect and forensic personnel. The men carried recording equipment to record the proceedings. The suspect was wearing a hood, his hands were cuffed, and his waist was tied with a chain. Her movements were slow and cautious, and she walked with a slight stoop. Accompanied by two detectives, she slowly entered the village unit under investigation with support.

The nephew who made the report lives overseas and has been in contact with his uncle, Mr. Chung, the deceased. However, he has recently lost contact with him. After returning to Hong Kong, he decided to visit his uncle's house, but the two had a dispute because his uncle refused to open the door. During the quarrel, the nephew found that the iron house looked unusually clean, which was inconsistent with the deceased's usual living habits. This aroused suspicion and he contacted the police, who subsequently discovered the tragic crime scene.

According to police investigation, a man reported the crime at 11:31 pm last Saturday (9th). He said that when he tried to visit his 62-year-old male relative at a house in Chai Kek Village, the relative's wife, Mrs. Law, 52, refused to open the door. When crews arrived, they found the 62-year-old man lying unconscious inside the home and confirmed he was dead. Preliminary investigation showed that the woman allegedly used the bed frame and bedding to exert pressure on the deceased. It was suspected that the deceased fell while adjusting the bed frame. She was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently under investigation.
