A prisoner who successfully removed his handcuffs in the public hospital and fled while taken for a treatment on Wednesday had been recaptured by the Hong Kong warder.
The 27-year-old was an inmate at Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre who had been held for burglary offence in July this year, Correctional Services Department said on Wednesday( 15th of November).
The man was said to be taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Yau Ma Tei after he complained of illness on Friday and being admitted.
However, the department said that at 10:57pm on Tuesday he suddenly escaped from the handcuffs tied to the bed and took to his heels.
It was reported that one of the nurses in the hospital that first saw the prisoner while running away and called the attention of the warder on guard.
Eventually, the prisoner was later caught by the same warder on his guard at Gascoigne Road, a place which is 200 metres from Queen Elizabeth hospitals, the source reported.
The Correctional Service department said police had been informed and an investigation is ongoing under a set up board of inquiry.
This is the second time such incident will happen in Hong Kong in five months.

消息人士稱，最終，這名囚犯後來在距離伊麗莎白女王醫院 200 公尺的加斯科因路 (Gascoigne Road) 被同一名獄卒抓獲。
懲教署表示，警方已接獲通知，成立的調查委員會正在對此事進行調查。
