HONG KONG - The Hong Kong Police Force is preparing to deploy more than 10,000 police officers across the city tomorrow (Sunday) to ensure the smooth conduct of the district council elections, according to sources. An extensive police presence is intended to maintain a safe and orderly environment for voters and candidates.

It was revealed that police officers will be divided into two shifts of 12 hours each, and armed police officers from all police districts will be assigned to approximately 600 polling stations.
