The residents of Hong Kong can use as from Friday specific QR codes provided by Immigration Department with fingerprint and facial recognition screenings to enter Macau.
Hong Kong Immigration authorities said on Thursday that under joint QR code clearance service, the “contactless e-channel” mobile app could be used at Macau’s immigration checkpoints.
“The new QR code clearance service between Hong Kong and Macau will further improve the quality of immigration clearance services on both sides to integrate into the important national strategy of the Greater Bay Area,” Immigration spokesperson said.
The report said Hong Kong residents who have registered for the “contactless e-channel” service on the mobile app, as well as automated immigration clearance at Macau checkpoints, can pass through at both special administrative regions with their QR code from Friday's midnight.
As the code is successful scan, Hong Kong residents visitor will thereafter face camera for facial verification and scan their fingerprints to complete the process.
週五起香港人可使用二維碼、臉部辨識進入澳門
從週五起,香港居民可以使用入境事務處提供的特定二維碼,透過指紋和臉部辨識檢查進入澳門。
香港入境事務處週四表示,根據聯合二維碼通關服務,「非接觸式e道」行動應用程式可以在澳門出入境檢查站使用。
入境事務處發言人表示:“港澳之間新增二維碼通關服務,將進一步提升雙方出入境通關服務質量,融入大灣區重要國家戰略。”
報道稱,在行動應用程式上註冊「非接觸式e道」服務以及澳門口岸自動出入境檢查服務的香港居民,可以從週五午夜起憑二維碼在兩個特別行政區通行。
掃碼成功後,香港居民訪客將面對攝影機進行臉部驗證並掃描指紋以完成整個過程。
