Hong Kong police investigating if any criminality was involved after the remains of an elderly man found in drainage

The remains of an elderly man was found in a drain in Tsuen Wan and Hong Kong police are now looking into whether or not his death was due to criminality.


According to the police, a call was received at around 11.08 am on Wednesday by a worker who discovered the remains of the man in the drainage on a slope close to the Sham Tseng section of Castle Peak Road in Tsuen Wan.


The belongings of the victim who was believed to be almost about 70 years old were at the scene, a police spokesperson said.


Afterwards, his body was recovered from the drainage and some officers wearing white protective suits were investigating the scene, the report said.


The crime squad officers were investigating the case, police said.




香港警方調查下水道發現老人遺骸是否涉嫌犯罪


在荃灣的排水溝中發現了一名老人的遺體,香港警方目前正在調查他的死亡是否因犯罪行為。


警方表示,週三上午11時08分左右,一名工人接到報警,在荃灣青山公路深井段附近的一個斜坡的排水溝裡發現了該男子的遺體。


警方發言人稱,受害者據信已近 70 歲,財物仍在現場。


報道稱,隨後,他的屍體從排水溝中被打撈出來,一些身穿白色防護服的警察正在現場調查。


警方稱,重案組警員正在調查此案。
