Hong Kong police arrested a 33-year-old female taxi driver after her vehicle crashed with a double-decker bus and left the two passengers she conveyed killed.
Police arrived at the scene after a report at 9.25 pm on Sunday about a taxi that collided with a Citybus double-decker bus at the junction of Fleming Road and Harbour Road.
On the arrival of the emergency services, the two passengers in the taxi, a 47-year-old woman and a 59-year-old man, were said to be unconscious.
Both of them were rushed to different hospitals. The woman was taken to Ruttonjee Hospital in Wan Chai while the man was sent to Queen Mary Hospital in Pok Fu Lam, according to the report.
Unfortunately, they were both pronounced dead at 10.08 pm. and 11.18 pm respectively on the same day.
Also, the female taxi driver suffered injuries and she remained hospitalized where police arrested her on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death, the offence punishable by up to 10 years in imprisonment.
However, the Citybus was not carrying any passengers and the bus driver was unhurt, the report said.

急救人員趕到後，計程車上的兩名乘客，一名 47 歲的女性和一名 59 歲的男性，據說已經失去意識。
兩人分別被送往不同醫院，女子被送往灣仔律敦治醫院，男子則被送往薄扶林瑪麗醫院。 不幸的是，兩人均於晚上10點08分宣告死亡。 分別於同日晚上11時18分進行。
此外，計程車司機受傷，仍在醫院治療，警方以涉嫌危險駕駛致人死亡罪將她逮捕，最高可判處10年監禁。
不過，城巴沒有載有任何乘客，巴士司機也沒有受傷。
