Hong Kong police arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of killing his stepfather during a minor dispute

Hong Kong police have arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly killing his 44-year-old stepfather when having disagreement over a minor issues at a public housing flat, the report said.


Police responded to a call by 59-year-old woman on Monday at 2pm professing her husband was unconscious after he sustained head injuries at their residence situated at Fortune Estate in Cheung Sha Wan.


According to the source familiar with the case as it was reported on Thursday, the offender's elder sister and mother were also arrested by police for giving false impressions to believe the deceased had trip and fall accident. The source added  police were told by the deceased's wife and his two step children that the man suffered head injuries after having the accidents on Sunday and Monday.


Emergency services arrived and conveyed the man to the Caritas Medical Centre in Sham Shui Po but unfortunately pronounced dead by the doctor, the report said.


After the police's investigation, it was confirmed that the deseased had a disagreement with his stepson over minor issues that led into a physical altercation and assault by the stepson.


Afterwards, the stepson was detained on suspicion of killing his step father and perverting the course of justice and he was charged with one count of manslaughter while the two women were charged with perverting the course of justice, police said.


The three suspects were arraigned before West Kowloon Court on Thursday afternoon.

報道稱,香港警方逮捕了一名 22 歲男子,該男子涉嫌在公屋因小問題發生分歧而殺害了 44 歲的繼父。


週一下午 2 點,警方接獲一名 59 歲女子的報警,稱她的丈夫在長沙灣置富村的住所中頭部受傷,昏迷不醒。


據週四報道的知情人士透露,罪犯的姐姐和母親也因給人錯誤印象,相信死者發生絆倒和墜落事故而被警方逮捕。 消息人士補充說,死者的妻子和他的兩個繼子女告訴警方,該男子在周日和周一發生事故後頭部受傷。


報道稱,緊急救援人員趕到後將男子送往深水埗明愛醫療中心,但不幸被醫生宣布死亡。


警方調查後證實,死者因一些小問題與繼子發生爭執,導致繼子發生肢體衝突和毆打。


警方稱,隨後,繼子因涉嫌殺害繼父和妨礙司法公正而被拘留,他被指控犯有一項過失殺人罪,而兩名女子則被指控犯有妨礙司法公正罪。


三名嫌疑人周四下午在西九龍法院受審。
