Hong Kong police apprehended a 56-year-old man alleged of splashing a mysterious warm liquid onto the buttocks of not less than 10 women walking on the roads


Police have caught and arrested a 56-year-old Hong Kong man suspect who seemed to have a mission to splash a warm liquid onto the buttocks to the lower back of not less than 10 female walkers, the incident which started over a month ago.


The arrest was made during the police patrol on Great George Street, Causeway Bay on Friday night when he was seen by the officer splashing a mysterious liquid from the vacuum flask onto the buttocks of a 17-year-old girl on her way, the police said


Police said they have initially received reports from 9 women whose ages ranged from 16 to 32 from the 20th of January to the 18th of February saying they were splashed with a warm liquid toward their back position by an unknown person on their way in Mong Kok. They later observed that their clothes had been wet and the offender had disappeared, it was added.


The police spokesperson said she had noticed in the recent past that some people have posted on social media that they had similar experiences, and urged them or any witnesses to come forward to the Mong Kok crime squad.


Police said the man was suspected to be a serial offender.


Police warned that the offence of outraging public decency was a serious crime that could lead to a maximum sentence of seven years in jail.

警方表示,初步接獲9名年齡介乎16歲至32歲的女子於1月20日至2月18日期間報案,表示她們在旺角途中被不明身分人士潑上溫水。


補充說,他們後來發現自己的衣服已經濕了,罪犯也消失了。


警方發言人表示,近期注意到有人在社群媒體上發文表示有類似經歷,呼籲他們或任何目擊者向旺角重案組舉報。



警方表示,該名男子涉嫌連續犯罪。

警方警告稱,擾亂公共秩序罪是一項嚴重


犯罪,最高可判處七年徒刑。
