Hong Kong motorcyclist died and his brother injured after their motorbike crashed into road barrier in Yuen Long

Pok Oi Hospital where the the 33-year-old motorcyclist was certified dead.


A motorcyclist, 33 was killed on Hong Kong road while his younger brother, 25 was injured after their motorbike crashed into a roadside barrier in the New Territories.


The report said that the accident occurred at around 12:27 am on Thursday while they were travelling along Tai Tong Shan Road in Yuen Long.


The source familiar with the case told the local news media that the man lost control of his motorcycle while trying to overtake a car at his front and both eventually fell off the Kawasaki motorcycle when it crashed into railing.


Police said the motorcyclist sustained many injuries and was unconscious. He was rushed to Pok Oi Hospital in Yuen Long, where he was certified dead at around 1.09 am, police added.


However, his younger brother sustained arm and leg injuries and he was conveyed to Tuen Mun Hospital.


The accident is being investigated by the officers from the New Territories North traffic unit who have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to contact police at 3661 3800.

一名33歲的摩托車騎士在香港道路上喪生,而他25歲的弟弟在新界的摩托車撞上路邊護欄後受傷。


報道稱,事故發生於週四中午12時27分左右,當時兩人沿著元朗大棠山路行駛。


熟悉案件的消息人士告訴當地新聞媒體,這名男子在試圖超越前面的一輛汽車時失去了對摩托車的控制,最終當川崎摩托車撞上欄桿時,兩人都從川崎摩托車上摔了下來。


警方表示,摩托車騎士多處受傷,昏迷不醒。 警方補充說,他被送往元朗博愛醫院,並於凌晨1時09分左右被證實死亡。


然而,他的弟弟手臂和腿部受傷,被送往屯門醫院。


新界北交通組人員正在調查這起事故,並呼籲目擊者或知情者致電 3661 3800 與警方聯繫。
