Hong Kong firefighters rescued 27 people from the fire outbreak on Lamma's nearby Island

Hong Kong firefighters rescued 27 people successfully on Thursday from the fire that broke out on a hill close to Lamma Island.


According to the force, there were many calls received in which reports were made about the fire that broke out on Luk Chau just before noon on Thursday and that 27 people had been trapped, the report said.


The emergency services on helicopter and fireboat were deployed to the area to rescue and stop the outbreak.


The report stated that the people who were on the trip of two groups, 12 and 15 were rescued unhurt and conveyed to Lo Tik Wan Pier on Lamma.


It was said that it could not be specified whether the two groups were on Luk Chau, around Lamma Island to observe the Ching Ming Festival, the tradition of paying visits to the passed away ones.


The warning however came out from the authorities to the public to be careful during the festival proceedings and take away any burning articles to avoid fire outbreak.


Offenders will be liable to a maximum fine of $50,000 on a first conviction, plus $500 for every 15 minutes for which the offence continues under the Forests and Countryside Ordinance.

警方表示,接獲多起電話通報,中午前鹿洲發生火災,造成27人受困。


緊急服務部門出動直升機和消防船前往該地區進行救援和停止


報道稱,兩批同行的12人和15人獲救,沒有受傷,被送往南丫島蘆荻灣碼頭。


據稱,無法確定這兩個團體是否前往南丫島附近的鹿洲慶祝清明節,即探望逝者的傳統。


然而,當局向公眾發出警告,在節日期間要小心,並帶走任何燃燒的物品,以避免火災。


根據《森林及鄉村條例》,首次定罪的違法者最高可被處以 50,000 美元的罰款,另加每 15 分鐘違法行為 500 美元的罰款。
