Hong Kong is set to experience a dramatic shift in temperatures this weekend, with a drop from a high of 28 degrees Celsius today to just 17 degrees on Saturday.

According to the Hong Kong Observatory's nine-day forecast, a cold front will sweep through coastal areas late Friday and into early Saturday. The influence of the northeast monsoon will contribute to cool weather throughout the weekend and into the early part of next week.
On Friday, expect mainly cloudy conditions with occasional showers, with temperatures ranging between 20 and 28 degrees. Northeasterly winds are anticipated to lead to a notable decrease in temperature. By Sunday, temperatures may dip even further to around 16 degrees.
