The stranger quickly revealed two air guns and fired multiple shots at Lam while also attacking him with a wooden stick. Caught off guard, Lam suffered severe injuries to his head and hands and was covered in blood. In a state of desperation, he sought help at a nearby convenience store on Shanghai Street, where a concerned female clerk promptly notified the authorities.
Upon receiving the distress call, an ambulance arrived quickly and transported Lam to Kwong Wah Hospital for medical treatment.
