Drug Trafficking Case Worth Over HK$5.5 Million Discovered at Hong Kong International Airport

Hong Kong Customs achieved a significant breakthrough on February 13th when they successfully intercepted a drug trafficking operation involving concealed baggage at Hong Kong International Airport. In a successful operation, approximately six kilograms of suspected cocaine, with an estimated market value of HK$5.5 million, were seized.

The investigation revolves around two female passengers, aged 58 and 48, who were arriving in Hong Kong. The first woman, arriving from Hanoi, Vietnam on February 13th, was apprehended during customs clearance when authorities discovered a hidden batch of suspected cocaine within her checked-in baggage. Consequently, she was promptly arrested.


As the investigation progressed, another woman suspected to be connected to the case was apprehended at the airport on February 14th. Both individuals have been jointly charged with one count of trafficking in a dangerous drug. They are scheduled to appear at the West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts on February 16th.

隨著調查的進展,另一名涉嫌與此案有關的女性於2月14日在機場被捕。兩名被告被共同控以一項販運危險藥物罪名。他們將於2月16日在西九龍裁判法院出庭。
