On September 17, the skies over Victoria Harbour will light up with a spectacular drone show featuring approximately 1,000 drones. The event, scheduled to begin at 8 PM near the Wan Chai harbourfront, will celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with dazzling displays of lanterns and rabbits.
The 10-minute performance will include intricate formations reminiscent of mooncakes and traditional lanterns, culminating in the spectacular sight of fire dragons soaring across the night sky. The Tourism Board has identified the Wan Chai HarbourChill and Water Sports and Recreation Precinct as prime locations for spectators to enjoy the show.
In addition to the drone display, the festivities will include a Fire Dragon Dance in Tai Hang, taking place over three nights starting September 16. This event will feature a 67-meter dragon made from incense sticks, led by 300 performers, alongside a 20-meter LED dragon carried by around 100 children.
The celebrations will also include various installations throughout the streets, offering great photo opportunities and captivating live performances. A live broadcast at Victoria Park will ensure that even more people can partake in the festive atmosphere.
