Domestic Helper Charged with Child Porn for Recording Videos of Ward

In a court hearing at Kwun Tong Court, a domestic helper, Gorgina Binmulog, aged 27, faced two charges of making child pornography for recording two videos of a naked girl under her care.

The charges were in violation of Section 3(1) of the Prevention of Child Pornography Ordinance. Acting Principal Magistrate Winnie Lau presided over the hearing and adjourned the case to May 16 at the request of Binmulog's lawyer. Binmulog was returned to jail custody following the hearing.

According to a police complaint, the incident occurred when Binmulog, a Filipina, recorded the videos of the naked girl, identified as X, inside the toilet of her employer's residence in Sau Mau Ping, Kowloon.

The videos were captured using a smartphone. The first recording took place on February 23, 2024, followed by the second recording on March 5.

Upon discovering the existence of the videos, the employers promptly contacted the police.
