An elderly man in Yau Ma Tei was lured into building by a Chinese woman, robbed of gold chain

HONG KONG - A 63-year-old man surnamed Lam reported that he was robbed of a gold chain worth more than HK$74,000 in Hong Kong's vibrant Yau Ma Tei district. The incident occurred at around 6pm yesterday at a building on Nathan Road.

According to Lam, a woman approached him on the street and later took him to a unit in the building at 561 Nathan Road. There, two South Asian men allegedly snatched his gold chain and fled without leaving any trace.


After receiving the distress call, the Hong Kong Police Force immediately began investigating the matter. As part of the ongoing investigation, law enforcement are currently examining CCTV footage from the building in an attempt to identify and locate the suspect.


The female suspect is described as being of Chinese nationality, about 40 years old, with short hair and about 1.5 meters tall. She was reportedly wearing a white top and skirt at the time of the incident. The two male suspects are believed to be around 40 years old, of South Asian descent, bald and about 1.7 meters tall. Both men were reportedly wearing white tops and blue jeans at the time of the robbery.
