A Hong Kong paramedic off-duty officer had passed away a couple of days ago after his car crashed into another vehicle on Tolo Highway in the New Territories, a report said.

According to the authority's statement to the SCMP news platform on Sunday, the 31-year-old officer, surnamed Chen died two days ago at 9.33 pm.

According to the provisional police data, 2,400 traffic accidents resulted into injuries in the first two months of this year, with 15 fatalities recorded in Hong Kong.
