A Hong Kong man was attacked with a knife at a minibus terminus after an argument over smoking cigarettes

A young Hong Kong man who told a cigarette-smoking man to stop smoking at a minibus terminus was stabbed after both engaged in a fight on Tuesday morning at Choi Hung MTR's exit, a report said.


Police arrived at the scene after a report around 10.30 pm on Tuesday that the two men were in an argument that led to one attacking the other with a pocket knife opposite exit A2 of Choi Hung MTR station.


It was learnt via SCMP reports on Wednesday that the 48-year-old and 22-year-old men started to fight after the younger one asked the other to stop smoking at the bus terminus.


While both were in a fight, the cigarette smoker brought out the knife and attacked the 22-year-old. The victim was left with injuries on his head and hands while the attacker suffered as well some injuries on his fingers, the report said.


Afterwards, the two men were arrested at the scene for fighting in public. They were taken to United Christian Hospital in Kwun Tong to treat their injuries.


It was learnt by a source familiar with the case that the knife attacker was released on bail as of Wednesday morning but the other man still getting treatment in the hospital.

週二晚上 10 點 30 分左右,警方接到報警後趕到現場,稱兩名男子在彩虹地鐵站 A2 出口對面發生爭執,導致其中一人持小刀攻擊另一人。


據《南華早報》週三報道,48歲和22歲男子在巴士總站要求另一名男子停止吸煙後,發生爭執。


當兩人打架時,吸煙者拿出刀襲擊了22歲的男子。 報道稱,受害者的頭部和手部受傷,而襲擊者的手指也受了一些傷。


隨後,兩人因當眾鬥毆當場被捕。 他們被送往觀塘基督教聯合醫院救治。


知情人士透露,持刀攻擊者已於週三上午獲得保釋,但另一名男子仍在醫院接受治療。
