A 7-year-old girl in Sha Tin is believed to have been assaulted by a 36-year-old Filipino maid who worked at the Fung Lam Court unit of Lucky Plaza, 1-15 Wang Pok Street.
The incident came to light yesterday after the girl's mother reported the incident to law enforcement at 3:24 p.m. Police officers responded quickly after receiving the report and launched an initial investigation into the matter.
The case has been classified as "child abuse or neglect of a child or young person in care" and is currently under investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. It is worth noting that the Filipino helper involved has already resigned prior to the allegation.
