A fire broke out at a construction site in the Tin Shui Wai on Tuesday and almost 150 workers fortunately got out unhurt, the report said.
Emergency services responded to the scene after the distress calls that a fire had broken out at a construction site on Hung Nga Road in Tin Shui Wai at 1.20 pm, police said.
The blaze was later upgraded to a third-alarm fire at 2.44 pm, the report said.
Police said that the investigation revealed that, the fire broke out as a result of sparks from a metal grinder used by one of the workers, suspiciously caused the construction materials to be burned.
A pair of water jets were sent to the scene to combat the blaze, the report added.
Police said about 150 workers eventually fled from the site before emergency personnel arrived and no casualties were recorded.

警方表示,下午1時20分接到求救電話後,緊急服務人員趕到現場,表示天水圍洪雅路一個建築工地發生火災,並於下午2時44分升級為第三級火災。
警方表示,調查顯示,起火原因是一名工人使用的金屬研磨機產生火花,可疑導致建築材料被燒毀。
報告稱,兩支噴水槍被派往現場滅火。
警方表示,在急救人員到達之前,大約 150 名工人最終逃離了現場,沒有人員傷亡記錄。
